On March 24, Assistant Minister of Commerce Tang Wenhong met with Chairman of ACWA Power Mohammad Abunayyan in Beijing. They exchanged views on increasing ACWA Power’s investment in China.

Tang noted that the Chinese government stays committed to high-standard opening up and continues to build a first-class business environment which will provide broad development space for foreign-invested enterprises. It is hoped that Saudi enterprises, represented by ACWA Power, will actively expand their business in China, continue to deepen cooperation with Chinese businesses and financial institutions, share in China’s development opportunities, and make new contributions to the development of China-Saudi economic and trade cooperation relations.

Mohammad Abunayyan said that ACWA Power is full of confidence in China’s economic development, and will be rooted in the Chinese market for a long time, further strengthen the cooperation between the two sides in the fields of green hydrogen, seawater desalination, new energy power, etc., and continuously expand its scale of investment in China.
